Kelly (NYU, Stern 09) and Patricia Leung (UMich '11), both past participants of The First Tee Metropolitan New York have selected two scholars for 2009 to receive the Leung Family Scholarship. Ryan Porter and Sumit Khetan are both participants at The First Tee Nassau County.
Sumit Khetan is the 2009 Lew Rudin/First Tee Scholar and attending the College of Arts and Sciences at NYU. He plans to major in biology and become a surgeon.
Ryan Porter is attending Villanova University and has attended The Wal-Mart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach as well as been a member of The First Tee Metropolitan New York Tri-Match team multiple seasons. He has just recently spearheaded a club donation campaign for US troops fighting overseas.
